Passion Sunday (Readings Heb 9, 11-15. John 8, 46-59)
Reflection:
Cast off the thoughts of self to gain the respect of men, the Lord says,
we are all called to glorify God.
“[10] For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
[Galatians 1:10]
Which is grace and Spirit not merely flesh by creation in time in the flesh and blood of His Son Christ Jesus.
He is all, for all was and is created for His glory.
“[3] All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made.”
[John 1:3]
If it does not aim to be ordered towards God,
then it has not Love.
“[48] And the heavens and the earth, and all things that are in them shall give praise for Babylon: for spoilers shall come to her from the north, saith the Lord.”
[Jeremias (Jeremiah) 51:48]
Give heed to the words of the prophets that cried to warn nations,
that had put their trust in idols and men.
Rather than that of the Most Loving of Fathers,
that gave ALL to save His people.
Even His Son on the Cross, as to say
” I Am,”
“[9] By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.”
[1 John 4:9]
I am here with you always.
“[27] For I know thy obstinacy, and thy most stiff neck, While I am yet living, and going in with you, you have always been rebellious against the Lord: how much more when I shall be dead?”
[Deuteronomy 31:27]
