Reflection : ( Readings: Isa. 49, 8-15 , John 8, 12-20 )
Be the light, fear not says the Lord.
“[2] Behold, God is my saviour, I will deal confidently, and will not fear: O because the Lord is my strength, and my praise, and he is become my salvation.”
[Isaias (Isaiah) 12:2]
The lamp is not meant to be hidden.
“[14] You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid.”
[Matthew 5:14]
May we not hide by our fears and be blinded to see our calling,
the good inspirations, because we choose to see through only our weaknesses
and not through His Light.
It is He that shines forth to bring out all good in everything.
From the stars, moon, and burning light in the sun,
but He is still more than that.
He is the radiant Light of Goodness in the soul that expels all darknesses
and evil which would cloud our hearts to see the Father’s true view of us:
Love for all His creatures and most importantly those that have accepted the Bloody Sacrifice
of His Son not in vain, but live for that reason to console Him by their lives.
This is the reflecting of the light of true love that comes from the Cross.
