Tuesday of Holy Week (Readings Jer 11, 18-20, Mark 14, 32-72)
Reflection
We must break free from the limits of the flesh and it’s frailty.
This can only be done by the Spirit leading us to believe in the example of Christ.
He, in the flesh is the most pure example of faith along with His mother. His flesh nailed to the Cross, He willingly to reveal the full dependence on the Spirit of Love. To trust the Father beyond our natural reasoning, so as to believe in the Power of the Almighty Father’s Love. To go beyond anything we can imagine ourselves, to do by our own reasonings.
This is the power of grace in the soul. Our souls being unleashed by grace like a Lion’s roar over the flesh to increase and to tame it by the spirit. Just as the name Joseph means ” He will add ” , and Arimathea was a city of Juda which means ” a lion dead to the Lord,” Jesus adds to us the grace to tame the lion of the flesh, who is the devil, to help us unleash what is in us all through baptism the Lion of Juda.
Praise the Lord for His Most Holy Cross and Passion.
All glory to God, May we remain sheltered by His Grace – umbra Dei
